• Member: Any individual registered with RWFL Europe.
• Club: Any official RWFL Europe run/walk group.
• Coach: An authorised RWFL coach or instructor.
• Session: Any organised RWFL training activity.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts, without prejudice to mandatory EU consumer protection laws.

RWFL is owned and operated by Ngala Lda, a company incorporated in Portugal, trading as Run/Walk For Life Europe.

3.1 All members must complete the RWFL medical risk questionnaire honestly and accurately prior to participation.

3.2 Members are responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit to participate in physical exercise. RWFL reserves the right to request medical clearance where reasonably necessary.

3.3 Membership is personal and may not be shared.

4.1 Membership fees are payable in advance for the selected membership period. This will be a payment monthly in advance for the month to come.

4.2 All prices are communicated clearly before purchase and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4.3 RWFL may revise fees from time to time. Any changes will not affect an already paid membership period.

5.1 Members may cancel their membership at any time by providing 1 calendar month´s written notice.

5.2 Where membership fees have been prepaid, refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, unless otherwise permitted by law.

5.3 Immediate cancellation and a full or partial refund may be granted in cases of:

• Medical incapacity preventing continued participation.
• Relocation where no RWFL Club is reasonably accessible.
• Other justified circumstances assessed fairly and reasonably.

6.1 RWFL may suspend or terminate a membership if a member:

• Seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms;
• Behaves or get involved in any conduct which is viewed as having a negative impact on other members or on the club.
• Engages in conduct harmful to the reputation or operation of RWFL.

6.2 Any termination will be proportionate and reasonable. Where appropriate, members will be informed of the reasons and given an opportunity to respond.

6.3 Termination does not affect any statutory rights.

7.1 RWFL may change Club days, times, routes, or venues for operational or safety reasons. Members will be informed of material changes where reasonably possible.

7.2 Members must adhere to scheduled start times. Early or unsupervised participation in Sessions is not permitted.

8.1 Members must follow Coach instructions and all applicable safety guidelines.

8.2 The following are not permitted during Sessions:

• Use of headphones or devices that impair awareness.
• Carrying valuables at the member’s own risk.
• Smoking or vaping.

8.3 Members must always comply with all road safety laws and exercise due care.

9.1 Physical activity involves inherent risks. Members acknowledge these risks and agree to participate responsibly.

9.2 RWFL will take reasonable steps to ensure safe training practices but does not exclude or limit liability where such exclusion is prohibited by Portuguese or EU law.

10.1 For safety and identification purposes, members are required to wear official RWFL apparel during Sessions, where communicated in advance.

11.1 Members may invite guests to Sessions only with prior Coach approval.

11.2 Guests participate at their own risk and must comply with these Terms.

12.1 Members may take photos or videos for personal use, provided the privacy and consent of other members is respected.

12.2 RWFL may take photographs or recordings during Sessions for training or promotional purposes only with lawful basis and consent where required.

12.3 Members may withdraw consent for the use of their image at any time.

13.1 RWFL processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

13.2 Members have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of their personal data, and the right to data portability.

14.1 RWFL names, logos, routes, and materials are protected intellectual property.

14.2 Members may not use RWFL branding for commercial or promotional purposes without prior written consent.

Members may not sell, promote, or market products or services to other members during Sessions or via RWFL platforms without written approval.

Former members may not represent themselves as affiliated with RWFL after their membership ends, nor use RWFL branding or materials without permission.

RWFL is committed to an inclusive environment. Discrimination, harassment, hate speech, or abusive conduct based on protected characteristics is not tolerated.

Members are responsible for their personal belongings. RWFL does not accept liability for loss, theft, or damage except where required by law.

19.1 Members are encouraged to raise concerns informally with their Coach first.

19.2 If unresolved, complaints may be submitted in writing to RWFL Portugal.

19.3 Consumers may also use Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entities in accordance with Portuguese law. Information is available at www.consumidor.gov.pt.

RWFL may update these Terms from time to time. Members will be informed of material changes. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
